Wynsdi Custis is a native of Baltimore, MD born to Renee Jones & the late William Custis. She is an alumnus of the historic Baltimore City College High School where she actively participated in The Baltimore City College Marching Knights & Concert Bands, Peer To Peer Mediation Group, and the Student Government Association. Wynsdi has always possessed a passion for children and exemplified this early on by becoming the neighborhood babysitter at the age of 14. After completing high school, Wynsdi followed her passion to work with children and became a nanny and has worked for various families since 1999. Currently working towards a Bachelors Degree in Business Management/Administration from UMUC, Wynsdi is dedicated to her passion of assisting and developing young people.

As an active participant in several Community Initiatives, Wynsdi has been afforded the opportunity to work with various community projects. The fundamentals of sisterhood and importance of involvement in community activities were ascertained during her membership of the Girl Scouts of Central America. Through her relationship with the GSA and The Baltimore City Department of Recreation & Parks, Wynsdi has fostered a partnership to assist in community development.
Wynsdi's nurturing and approachable demeanor attracts young people from all walks of life. She currently serves as a Volunteer & Mentor of The Baltimore City Public School System, is an active member of Partners for Success, a Certified Facilitator of Dove Real Beauty Workshop for Girls and a Lifetime member of NAACP. Through her extensive interaction with young ladies, Wynsdi identified the need for a formal program acknowledging the lack of positive images and role models. She has accepted the call to design a program specifically for the mental, spiritual, emotional, and cultural progression of young ladies in the Baltimore Metropolitan and surrounding areas. An expressed sentiment of her heart is that “There are so many little ladies that have missed the type of guidance of my youth, and I will not miss the opportunity to become a beacon of hope for at least one.” With that mindset, exceptional administration, and a committed staff of volunteers, Wynsdi has birthed D3 The Academy. “D.A.R.L.I.N.G.S , D.O.L.L.S & D.I.V.A.S will be more than an institution of charm & etiquette; but a venue where young ladies and their families can obtain guidance on their journey to womanhood.
“D3 The Academy is Distinguished.
D3 The Academy is Devine.
D3 The Academy is A Revolution.”
